On Wednesday, US-based media outlets reported about the breakup. People reported that an "anonymous source" confirmed their "amicable" split. While multiple sources told US Weekly that it was Swift who pushed the button.
"She was the one to put the brakes on the relationship. Tom wanted the relationship to be more public than she was comfortable with. Taylor knew the backlash that comes with public displays of affection but Tom didn't listen to her concerns when she brought them up. Now that they've split, the source says, Hiddleston is "embarrassed that the relationship fizzled out," a source close to the couple told the entertainment site.
Swift and Hiddleston had become a papparazzia bait since they started dating three months ago, just few weeks after Swift had called it quits with former beau Calvin Harris.
