Giant alligator caught roaming Florida golf course shown in new video

By now, you're probably seen the video of the giant alligator lumbering his way across a Palmetto, Florida golf course last week. The massive beast drew lots of attention – and more than a few claims that the video was fake. A newly released series of images, however, might dispel any notions that the gator isn't real. YouTube user KPowell posted a video showing what looks like the 15-foot long alligator up close as it goes across a walkway before finally finding a resting spot on the grass. Employees of the golf course said the beast prefers to stay near holes 3, 8 and 14 on the grassy course. For the record, the people at PolitifactFlorida looked into the video and, after watching other angles and talking to reptile experts, judged it to be authentic. If the gator is actually 15 feet long, it could be a new Florida record, topping the previous one of 14 feet, 3.5 inches.
